Portugal strongly encourages EV adoption. Fully electric cars are exempt from the annual road tax (IUC) and the purchase tax (ISV). In cities like Lisbon, you can get a "Green Disc" for heavily discounted or free street parking.

The charging network (Mobi.E) is unified. One card from any provider (like EDP or Galp) works on all public chargers nationwide. You don't need multiple apps for different stations.
