Getting an EU Pet Passport
Once you arrive with your pet using the Turkish paperwork, you should visit a local vet to convert it into an EU Pet Passport. This blue booklet allows you to travel freely within Europe without needing new titration tests for every trip.
The cost is usually low (around €20-€40). The vet will register your pet in the national database (SIAC), which is mandatory by law for all dogs and cats residing in Portugal.
