Furnished vs. Equipped: The Difference

When renting, terms matter. "Mobilado" means fully furnished (beds, sofa, tables). "Sem mobília" means empty. However, the most critical term is "Cozinha Equipada" (Equipped Kitchen).

An apartment can be unfurnished but still have an equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, washing machine). If a listing says "Sem Equipamento," you will have to buy your own appliances, which is a significant upfront cost for a rental.
