Getting 15% VAT Back

You can deduct 15% of the VAT paid in specific sectors from your annual income tax. These sectors are: Restaurants/Hotels, Hairdressers, Car Repair, Veterinary Services, and Gym Memberships.

To get this benefit, you must ask for "Fatura com NIF" at payment. The limit is €250 per household per year. It happens automatically if you validate the invoices in the e-fatura app.
